Hasselhoff92 22 Posted January 9, 2014 FIrst great game and I realize it is early alpha.I played around with the mod a little about a year ago. After hearing some good things and watching a few player videos decided to try out the alpha. After a day my bags are now full with more food and drinks than I can consume. My blood is a little low after tangling with zombies and not figuring out how to use the axe correctly but I have got the melee combat down. I have had to make some tough decisions on dumping items like matches, water purification tabs, syringe, defibrilator, camping stove, charcoal tabs, head lamp and a ton of other random stuff I don't see myself using for a while. Was trying to carry extra gear to trade with people if they didn't kill me but have abandoned that idea due to lack of space. I have the 35 slot back pack, tactical vest, and camo pants so I do have a lot of room just carrying around too much food since I almost starved early on. How do I regenerate blood? I have a saline pack but I guess you can't use it on yourself. I have watched vids of people robbing people for blood but I have barely ran into anybody. I have a Mosin with a scope (Usually on my back), Axe (also usually on my back) and FNH-FX9 which is holstered. I now have an M4 which is carried in my hands. Anytime I switch to my Mosin or axe I drop the M4 which has fallen through a floor a few times and eventually lost it because of this. Also if I pick something up with no bag space I drop the M4. Is this because I have too much gear? Can I not carry and switch these weapons without dropping the M4? I have another M4 now so don't want to lose it again. Lastly my Mosin is no longer firing (Yes it is loaded) after I attached a scope to it. Any ideas why it won't fire now? The tool tip is blank only a picture of the Mosin with no description or details.
teufel937 49 Posted January 9, 2014 With two rifles and a melee you will drop the M4 every single time, as for food, just eat it all until he says he is full, drink until he says he is full, at that point your energy/hydration/hunger should be high enough to regenerate the 3blood/second. Saline bags are combined with IV start kits and administered by other players.
(TMW) Merino 507 Posted January 9, 2014 I advise against carrying food. You have an enormous internal energy storage, it won't go to waste if you eat it. Quite the opposite, it wastes inventory space if you don't. You will gain the healthy or healing status in the inventory screen when you ate and drank enough and maintain that level for an extended period of time. Once you're reached that point, your body will begin to restore blood and health naturally. You should always aim for that - especially if you have a food surplus it's easy to achieve. Currently I only carry one food item and one extra drink with me, just in case I run into someone who's starving or thirsty (plus a canteen for myself, just to be sure).
