resausk01 1 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Couldn't remember my account email for my old account, but I had over 200+ posts, been a while since I was using my DayZ account. So I'm not noob heed you. I was told I should post this on the DayZ forums as well so to the Developers of DayZ and Dean Rocket. To say the least. This game has never felt like a zombie game (More of a PvP call of duty FPS game pretty much at this point). I'll bump this thread if I come across more Ideas. These are my opinions of what needs implementing: ENVIRONMENT - Needs military checkpoints on the roads (These are abandoned not actual working ones) - Biohazard bags lying on street curbs/Against walls - Doors that are unenterable having caution tape on it - More body piles as well as a few on the streets and against walls with blood decals - Dead static survivors that tell a story how they've died by following a blood trail to their body with maybe a knife in their head saying liar on their body (Walking dead reference teehee). ZOMBIE THREAT - Infected hoards that generate in random areas - Zombies being head shot only (Greatly will impact a PvE aspect) SPECIAL INFECTED (NOT L4D TYPES OF SPECIAL INFECTED, These are common infected just simply tweaked to make it a little harder for the player to get around or avoid) - Biohazard Zombie, One type I thought would be neat is a Biohazard zombie wearing an orange suit with a gasmask over their face, and these spores that would give off polutants where if exposed to the player they'd be prone to infection if inhaled which is where a gas mask or a face cover would come in handy.- Armored Zombie, Military type zombies wearing riot armor only a shot to the face will do as their heads are armored as well. This will make it more difficult for players to loot the airstrips making this greatly impact PvP. VARIETY - Different types of Common infected wearing unique types of clothing both male & female (Military, Doctors, More Civ models) - Common infected looting, Kill a military type zombie they have a chance to have mags or grenades on them when looting them You know just sh*t to at least give it that feel. There's not much in the world of DayZ that gives it that feel that it needs or the threat of the infected that it needs. Hopefully, maybe further into development this will be implemented (This does not mean while in alpha, far later). At least then I won't be feeling like I'm playing another damn PvP game. PS. Going to add that in the topic to prevent confusion. have you actually played the mod and followed the dev blogs? Yup started playing DayZ as of March of 2012. And followed the dev blogs when I first heard a forum post on here about Dean creating a Tumblr Dev blog. So what are you getting at? Combine (DayZ) 247 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) In my opinion the map does not just need eventual (planned anyway) expansion as in new areas. One could add a bit more to existing areas. Some areas were already revamped, but it could be "slightly" better. A biological apocalypse or similar took place. There would be hints for this in the major cities or the capital at least, I assume. There's already hints all over the map, but they seem more like hints than leftovers, if you know what I mean. Didn't follow any dev blogs about this topic however, so one could enlighten me. Apart from that: They don't have to clutter the whole map with this, that might be overkill. But it might be a nice change of scenery to have more clues about this in the major cities, even if just Cherno for starters. Some locked up buildings (or partially), a few corpses or piles of them, areas under (attempted or already broken) lockdown, etc. Nvm that if they clearly say "no" to this or if that's already planned. noey jerd 3 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) If a zombie outbreak happens fast at an area that doesn't really look like it could spread the word about an outbreak (ie the small towns around woods and forests) then none of that stuff would be around.
