Micro stutters while moving.

Recommended Posts

Last time i played was before the battle eye update and before that I didn't have any problems with stutters. Once i logged on the other day after the update and also today it just stutters constantly like it did on the mod version. I fixed it on the mod version by turning the threading option off in my nvdia control panel. Tried that on SA version and it didnt work. Joined a non BE server... no stutters. Anyone have the issue or a fix?

Tried turing all the graphic settings to low and high makes no difference. Also enabled and disabled vsync and no difference. Only had no stuttering on non battle eye servers.

Seems as though most people have gripes with BE.

I'm experiencing the same stutters though, and it's only been happening since the update that included BattleEye...

Finally, some people who have this happening to them too. I also had this happening to me in the mod, rendered it totally unplayable. Never figured out how to fix it though. But the situation here is the same as yours, before the Battleye update I had no problems at all with stutters, but once the update did come around the stutters just don't stop. Servers without Battleye are just fine. I read somewhere that it might have to do with your antivirus/firewall getting pissy with Battleye, but I haven't had any luck with it. Help with this would be appreciated so I can actually play the game again.

EDIT: I appear to have fixed it by switching from AVG to Microsoft Security Essentials. Seems to be running okay so far.

Well I have norton and really dont feel like uninstalling it for just one game. Tried allowing DayZ and the BE program through the firewall settings, didn't do anything, also tried turing my firewall off.. samething.. nothing.

Antivirus and games = problems. Windows 8 + inbuild windows defender is ok for me.

Same problem here. The game runs perfectly on servers without BattleEye, but on any server with it (aka the extreme majority) DayZ starts to become a mess of stutters.

To all the people posting performance enhancing guides, please, you're not helping. The issue isn't fps. I still get the problem with 45+ fps and it only happens on servers with BattleEye enabled. It's not an fps or lag issue, it's BattleEye.

I use ZoneAlarm Free antivirus and firewall. I was having the same issues as you until I turned off my firewall, works fine then. For some reason allowing all dayz related programs in the firewall settings does not have the same effect, so I just turn off my firewall everytime I play DayZ.

bump

Great, it's back again. I need some help with this, any suggestions? Besides dropping your firewall every time you play DayZ, that's not the best of ideas.

EDIT: Try using the launch parameters "-nosplash -noPause", this seems to be working so far (deja vu).
