I saw some videos on Day Z Epoch. What exactly is that? Is it someone elses version of Day Z? How can they use the Day Z name? What is it like/about?

There is a lot more than epoch, in short around 6 months after the mod released private hives became big and custom maps as well became a large part of the game, this then lead to people making mods of the mod itself. The ones I can think of off the top are:

Dayz origins

Dayz epoch

Dayz 2015

But ya its the same thing just with added features. Like in epoch there was currency and NPCs, IMO I don't like the idea of NPCs in dayz.

Okay I see, yea NPC's and currency seem kinda eh-ish. However the building I was seeing seemed quite interesting is that a function in regular Day Z? Well either way I can't wait to play Day Z, my new system will be here shortly.
