intensity (DayZ) 312 Posted January 5, 2014 Can anyone tell me what is causing this? Sometimes it doesn't show but since I reduced my drawn distance and scene complexity it is all over the place. It also happened with Arma 2 since I swapped my Geforce 460 for an AMD. http://i39.tinypic.com/2vhu96s.jpg edit: please click to see image full screen otherwise the dots are not visible. Element47 2480 Posted January 5, 2014 i wish people would stop using tinypic, its horrendous. i'd say its an anti-aliasing flimmer on the transparency edge, but thats pure speculation
Timmymachine109 (DayZ) 235 Posted January 5, 2014 if you have an nVidia card turn off anti aliasing in the nVidia experience thing for the game. That fixed it for me in ArmA 2 so I guess it's the same thing?
intensity (DayZ) 312 Posted January 5, 2014 Anti Aliasing + Alpha to coverage fixes the problem for me, but at a good cost of FPS, much rather use edge smoothing and can see better as the Alpha to coverage increases foliage density.
Hosty 647 Posted January 5, 2014 I always had trees looking like that :O Well when I get a new CPU I know how to fix it now. Tho my CPU is crap and already can't handle the game with more than 30 FPS at lowish settings.
intensity (DayZ) 312 Posted January 5, 2014 Texture filtering... Disabling it fixed it. I thought I had tried changing that without effect but now it works.
