terrorro 7 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) K, i belive updates r going in a rong way. Dev should make Alpha playable then add things like:- M9130 bayonete can open cans - wtf we have way to many things to open a can, i belive nobody was in a death situation beacouse he was unable to open a can with his bayonete);- Private and regular-hardcore public hive - Why we need that now when Alpha got some critical gameplay issue Devs should learn from unknownWorlds and how they develop NS2 from Alpha to final release: Fix -> balance -> add content. i whant to see in future updates: add delay to exit game and make an exit game penaltiy a fix for teleporting through walls, fix zombies, fix items respawn so no need for server restart.. remove items that do nothing in this state of game. Pls make a sense to play Alpha, not just Go to Airfield and have fun :) Edited January 5, 2014 by TerrorRO

rustledmyjimmies 361 Posted January 5, 2014 Some of these critical flaws are quite difficult to fix- they'll take time and these updates are just fillers from suggestions, this is very early in the alpha, so give them time.
Cats 83 Posted January 5, 2014 The bayonet thingy is simply copying a script and linking it to an item... so that could be done in a relative short time.Private hives are in high demand plus the owners of the hive can mod (a little) in their own server, which can lead to improvements. terrorro 7 Posted January 5, 2014 yes but not every 1-2 hours, 24h will be k.
floj 393 Posted January 5, 2014 Now the basics of gun, food and drink mechanics are already in the game I suspect it's pretty easy to modify/add existing content within those realms of the mechanics. Probably make an xml file for each object and tie it to a model(s) and texture(s) and that's more or less done. Other stuff involving adding mechanics, changing AI, changing server architecture takes longer - and is probably done by entirely different members of the dev team.
terrorro 7 Posted January 5, 2014 true, but focus on many things in the same time is fail, beacouse adding more things will break few things, than u loose time to see what is rong.
