Ambient Occlusion is the biggest FPS drain.

It's on by default as well which I guess most people do not bother to turn off and then complain about FPS. For me I'm running a 780, 4770k and 16gb ram and having this one setting on drops my FPS by 20 on average and it adds very little to the visuals so it is worth turning off.

I'm definitely going to give it a try.. Better FPS or better shading / light effect? Hmmm. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the game though it doesn't make that much of a difference.
