Saline Bags, can someone explain?

Recommended Posts

I recently won an epic firefight against a bandit sniper at balota. He succumbed to my bullets but I didn't get off free. I was shot and managed to bandage myself, however I now have severely low blood. My screen is almost entirely black and white along with blurry vision due to blood loss.

I've watched some videos and read that Saline Bags restore blood to full health, but do they actually work on conscious players? Alot of people said that they only work if the player is unconscious while others have said the opposite, can someone clear this up for me so I don't waste my only saline kit? Thanks, much appreciated.

They do work on conscious players, if applied by someone else. They will restore you to full health. (blood etc wise)

Saline bags will fix you right up. Just make sure its a Saline Bag IV and not just a Saline Bag; if it is you'll need to find an IV Start Kit, combine it with the Saline Bag, and then it will become a Saline Bag IV. Best of luck.

Thanks for the replies all, luckily I do have a saline bag with the IV starter kit. I just need one of my guildies to administer it.

A saline bag and iv-start kit, will fill your blood to max (which will remove grayed out color of your screen), and as you said you've got blurry vision, this is NOT due to blood loss.

This is due to a value called "health". A saline bag will max-up your blood, but not your "health". That said, your blurriness will still exist.

Currently the only way to regain "health" is to get the status effect "healing" which you get when you've eaten and filled up your water-supply to a sufficient level (and you've maxed your blood).

IF you do not get your "health" up to the max, you may not have grayed colors on your screen, but you may just as easy die from one M4 shot, instead of 5 to the chest.

EDIT: Very good explanation of what I just tried to tell you on the youtube videos below;
