Video recording settings

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm kinda new into this 'Let's play' thing and gameplay recordings, I'd like to find out:

- What program should I use to record gameplays? (Currently using FRAPS)

- How do I find out what resolution should I use, to fit the whole screen and uploading the video on Youtube?

- What program should I use to edit the videos?

- How do I make my videos look better when editing them?

Anything else that you'd like to add, I'd be really appreciated if someone experienced could help me.

Thanks in advance.

hey man

there are few other programs. They can compress the recorded file (while recording) a little and get rid of ridicilous file sizes. also fraps is gonna limit your ingame fps to recording fps so.. these two software better than fraps.

pick what you like. playclaw is slightly better than bandicam, imo.

2 - use 720p or 1080p to play and record. (1280x720 / 1920x1080) 1080 is neat but if you suffer framedrops, change res to 720p (ingame) and record full - sized vids.

3and 4 - sony vegas. vegas has built in fx and plugins to make your vid clean and smoother. or colours better - well balanced.

also use audacity (free) to record your mic voice if you willing to make lp's. recording software can only record game sounds (stereo mix), you need to record your mic sounds with audacity.

hope to see your vids soon :d
