FPS lags anyone?

Recommended Posts

What is up survivor community?

Alright, so I am expecting some seriously annoying FPS lags while playing DayZ. I recently bought a GTX 760 graphics card and the game is not running on me EVEN with on normal graphics with 60 FPS. Okay, in some places, no problem really smooth 60 FPS but in most of the cities the FPS is so horrible even on normal graphics. So far most of the games I've played can be easily run ultra graphics with 60 FPS.

Here's the specs of my computer:

Processor: Intel® Core i5-2300 CPU @ 2.80GHz 280 GHz

RAM: 8,00GB

Power supply: Corsair CX600 600 WATT

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

I am not sure if there's anyone else with such an issue but its really getting on my nerves.

I hope there's an solution for this!

Cheers!

The engine isn't optimised to deal with large cities. Everyone has the problem. Turn the scene detail down to low or very low and see if that helps. If not, go into the config file and lower it manually to something like 60000.

It's Sweet-Alpha, there's going to be some unexpected FPS drops every now and then until fully optimised, and it means not what powers your PC, I can run 99% of games on Ultra with no FPS drops below 60, I can experience between 20-30 at certain points during Sweet-Alpha gameplay, I've found that if you turn down some settings around larger areas as said above the larger cities seem to have the biggest impact at this stage.

Check out one of the many walkthroughs on FPS tweaks.  Don't be surprised that even after using them you still aren't seeing what one would consider excellent performance.

I have a pretty decent build myself and had to do some config changes to make it tolerable however still have random micro-stuttering every now and again.
