'Wait for Host' stuck on screen and then 'Please Wait'

When I join a server, it literally sits there for minutes on end saying 'Wait for Host' then after 10-15 mins it changes to 'Please Wait...' I have literally kept it there for 5 hours before, I have a lot of stuff, and I was willing to give it up if I was able to play, so out of frustration, (when it said "please wait") I was able to pause the game and select 'respawn' but it just stayed there. I did it multiple times and even waited over a half an hour! After that, I go to the main menu only to see my character in the gear that I was wearing at the time. This has been going on for a week and a half now, and it's so damn frustrating! Does anyone know how this can be fixed? I've posted on quite a few forums and nobody had a fix, until it finally dawned on me (duh!) to post it here.

Everyone i play with gets the same thing, press esc, exit and then double click on the same server again ( i advise you to favourite your server ) and you spawn almost instantly :)
