MystoganXIX 78 Posted January 3, 2014 This has happened to me 4 times today... starting to get ridiculous. I cannot even build up my gear anymore. Until today, I've only experienced this three or four times. Now after dying to a bug yesterday, (instant death for no reason) I find a safe place to log out in the city so I can go eat dinner. I went between some building and what looked like a major gas or propane storage container. Log back in and bam... I'm a fresh spawn. This just happened 3 times earlier today. As I constantly switch between playing DayZ, doing something productive, or playing TF2... I keep logging in to a freshly spawned character.

Zombie Jesus 723 Posted January 3, 2014 You know that message that pops up when you turn on the game, read it. btw for alpha this game is very playable. Ugh, the OP was not raging he was asking a simple question which is one of the purposes of having a forum. Yes it is alpha and for an alpha it does not have a huge amount of bugs (yet), but people asking a fairly straightforward question without rage should not be met with this is Alpha. If you don't know the answer there are two acceptable responses, that sucks and no response at all. OP that sucks (see how that works).
MystoganXIX 78 Posted January 3, 2014 You know that message that pops up when you turn on the game, read it. btw for alpha this game is very playable.Okay douchebag. Whenever I start experiencing a gamebreaking bug that needs some attention, I'll just read the damn message that pops up? So whenever we encounter some bugs, theres no point in giving them any attention, lets just read the message that pops up at the start of the game and continue. Maybe someday someone will fix them without being made aware that it is affecting the game. Lets stop reporting all bugs this instant because the game is in alpha! They're supposed to be there and nobody is supposed to say anything about them.
Maca (DayZ) 769 Posted January 3, 2014 Sorry to hear OP, it's an known issue. Something to do with the servers connection to the hive and some servers waiting to be white-listed. So the data isn't being stored and you will lose your progress.I cant seem to link the "Tracker" for some reason, (can someone please link it cheers) so it gets up voted. Its happened to me also best thing I would suggest is limit the servers you use and add to your favourites, limiting the chances of it happening. Just keep a track of what servers your data is stored and only play on them.

(I'm always smashed up against/inbetween some objects to conceal myself, possibly causing problems on my placement during relog)
