3PP:ON?

That feature is already in the game. When you hold left alt you can move your mouse to look around. Alternatively you can use the numpad buttons to look around, 1 for back and left, 3 for back and right, 6 for right side, etc.

Or you can look at something like the TrackIR and have a completely hands-free method.

 

And to the OP, yeah, I've struck the mislabeling of servers and it can be annoying from both sides of the 1PP/3PP cock fight. There was a thread floating around the 'suggestions' yesterday with an idea to have the 1PP/3PP moved to a seperate column of the server browser and pulled from the servers config and not reliant on an admins necessity to change the title as is currently the case. IMHO that would be a far better way to handle it.

There is nothing wrong with 3PP.

There IS something wrong with 3PP in a simulator that takes so much in to account in terms of realism.

It does not make sense to see over walls and around corners, that is like a superpower.

Hell, I hate the fact that we don't have to find a weapon strap before we can hold 2 weapons.

Well I guess it's a good thing it's just your opinion, and not Deans then.

Some of us enjoy seeing our characters out in the worlds granted, third persons shit for actual, meaningful combat, and no, pressing tab isn't the same damned thing.

If you want to play FPV, play on a server where 3PP is off - leave TPV to those who prefer not to get motion-sickness after a few minutes playing. The more restrictions you introduce into a game, the less likely that game is to appeal to other people: more choice is always a good thing for a game as it is more likely to appeal to "the masses" than just to a bunch of hardcore players. This is not rocket-science guys.

 

And to those who say it has to be this way - beleive it or not - this game IS NOT BEING WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU!

 

I like low population, nighttime only servers with 3pp on. FPV makes me queasy after a few minutes of playing so I tend to avoid it. So, by the logic of 90% of the people on these forums, I demand that there only be nighttime, 3PP ON servers with a limit of 5 players. Or - and here's a freaking brilliant idea for all you whinging ass-hats - you can find a server that suits YOUR style of play while I find a server that suits MY stle of play. And guess what - EVERYBODY gets to have fun playing in a style that suits them instead of being restricted to what a vocal minority think the game has to be.

I have noticed that themajority of servers I go into that say "3PP:ON" are in fact 1PP only. Is this a server feature that must be reset every time the server resets? If so, Why make 1PP ONLY the default? Shouldn't it be 1PP/3PP by default and then make 1PP only an option?

 

Yesterday I started to bookmark servers that were 3PP and found that after I came back to servers that said 3PP and I know WERE 3PP that they had been switched back to 1PP only, but were still labeled as 3PP:ON

 

Or is it just me?

Maybe the server owners finally realized how illogical and abusive the 3pp is and decided to remove it but  wasn't able to change the server name due to some complication?
