PetaWATT 2 Posted January 2, 2014 hi everyone, i bought arma + arma arrowhead 2 month ago, and i didnt play with dayz. It wont work. How ever, i bought DayZ Standalone today, To play DayZ, i thought i can play dayz at least because i have been bought dayz standalone. But when i start the game, there is nothing, just black screen. When i wait i while still nothing. aodqw97 78 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) Your specs look OK, so assuming other games work for you?I have a hunch this may be software or driver related.Have you been through the basics first? Drivers, chipset, firmware, Directx etc etc?Benchmarking software such as 3D Mark may also highlight a problem with a specific area.It's a good place to start and so often the cause when people are searching for a 'miracle cure'. Evilus 0 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) I have same issue sometimes the solution is to alt + tab once then you get the bohemia logo + dayz logo and game will start. There is already a bug report regarding this which I made on day 1 of dayz http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=59 It happens for me sometimes , it actually fixed itself recently. But a friend of mine got it which did not have it on before Not sure what fixed it for me since it fixed itself I have not had this issue. I'll update the ticket if I find out what it was.I changed GFX card as you can see in the post and it did not help. So with 2 different gfx it happens amd and nvidia.
