My character is still being DELETED!

I have been playing the standalone since the release and I have had my character completely wiped more times than I have died from zombies, players, etc. I'm completely aware that this is ALPHA but I thought the most recent patch was to fix this problem. If it wasn't in the most recent patch it should be in the next one. This is the number one problem in Alpha at the moment without a doubt! Does anyone have any solutions (I haven't been server jumping either)?

If it gives you any solace none of my characters have ever saved so far so every time I play I start from scratch.

Find a server that saves your toon properly, add to fave list, always play there ;)

 

Iv never had mine reset while iv been playing on fox company gaming server, and hes about a week or 2 old now.

both of you. When the loading screen first loads, and you see 'character' you MUST go in and set a 'default' character. If you don't hit 'save default' you will never get a character to save login to login.

I've taken to sticking to GameServers.com servers only. Whenever I try a server hosted by a different company, I inevitably lose my character. I have yet to lose my character sticking to GameServers.com hosted servers, and that's after over a week of playing (a lot). That's my experience, at least.

Something that TICKS me off the most is the fact that the developers add revolvers and dump shit instead of adding character stability!

Cause the client doesn't check if the server is the same version as the client and via versa.

 

Basically - no version check = shitloads of problems.
