Is it possible to load rounds in a Mosin not empty?

Recommended Posts

Because I tried but I wasn't able to, and it's a little pain waiting to heard the "click" while you're shooting because you have to shot the five rounds first.

no you can not, the gun must be empty to reload it. As Luis said, if you're down to one round and want to 'top it off', you must eject the single round, then fully reload. Another 'authentic' mechanic for this particular weapon, as it is not a 'fast loading' gun in any sense of the concept.

He's right, the gun must be unloaded in order for the gun to be reloaded in game, but this isn't authentic in any sense of the word. It's most likely a bug. A Mosin-Nagant can be reloaded round by round, or via a clip IRL. I'm assuming eventually it'll be round by round. But you know, alpha and all that.

But theres a bug in the mosin right now, where when you place the bullets it, you hear the sound but you don't get the bullets inside the gun, you have to wait a few minutes for it to load. You can avoid this by raising your gun, and then placing the ammo inside the mosin.

not sure if this have ever happened to anyone but if you quickly eject the ammo and load it while prone it plays a 10 layered loading sound pretty noisey

This is very annoying, but my guess is the Mosin in game is built as if it has a permanently attached magazine (which it does), but the game is treating it like an M4 or pistol mag, which requires removal to reload.  Once they have this fixed it would be nice to see stripper clips added for the Mosin.
