whiskeypanda 0 Posted May 12, 2012 Hello,I'm new to Arma2 and DayZ. I bought OA on steam today and installed the mod, but I'm having trouble. I put those files in the @DayZ/addons folder and changed the launch properties. First I had problems with joining because it seemed I missed .chernarus or whatever it's called but I solved that. Now I get past that error message, but it takes really long to join a server. It seems to freeze on "Receiving Data..." somewhere on 90%, but eventually it gets past this. Then I have to wait a long time 10~minutes at least for the server to response and to request a character. When I get past that, I enter the server but can't move, and the Debug HUD is not there. What I do then is try to respawn. Then I can move around, but there's no sound and the HUD's still missing. I also have no gear, nor gun.Can anyone help me with this problem?If you need any information, just ask. I'm not sure how to explain the problem.p.s. The first time I ran the game with Six-updater it worked and I could play a full life. Now it won't work.[Edit]: Changed thread title.I just found out that I can see my body if I look down in first person, but I'm invisible when in third person.
