Can't pick up items

Hi have a wee problem in the fact I can't seem to pick items up. Found a wrench, food and fruit yet when crouched my player won't pick the item up. Tried looking at the 'interaction,' controls but still not having any luck. I'm able to open doors okay. Help please.

Its sometimes tricky to pick some items up. Try to play with the scrollwheel, while hovering over the item. They might fix that soon, but for the moment you have to search for the right spot sometimes.

Just going to go over the basics just in case..

 

• See some items on the floor you can walk right on to of them hit tab and the item should appear within the inventory interface.
• Other option go into 1st person mode (Hit enter) and aim that dot on the item itself,, "hit F" or try scrolling with the mouse wheel then hit "F

 

Some items require certain amount of spaces to put into a back pack or on your body...

 

Usually once you have found an item in the inventory interface you can drag that item  (via holding left mouse button) over the right side of your inventory and drop it either in your hands, pockets etc etc
