Do guns jam? Or.. how did I die?

Simply enough... I fired off three rounds from my pistol by two buddies, and I instantly died..no idea how? My friends where fine afterwards and no shots had been fired besides mine.. So, it couldn't have been a well timed sniper shot...

Sounds like some kind of desync issue. Maybe you weren't where you thought, someone shot you, invisible (under the map zombie) you didn't know about (because of the desync etc), etc etc.. I don't know.

Yeah.. I dunno either... zombie doesnt make sense cause it was so instant. I shot, and I died. Also, if someone shot me I would imagine some sort of rounds being fired after towards my friends who probably had been 2 feet from me at the time. :( Random bug then?

But that's my point about you having desync'd.

 

As in lets make a scenario up, something like this, etc etc:

 

Player 1 Desyncs, he thinks he is over by the store - he isn't, he's still a block away near the alley. Player 1 continues into the store believing he is there.

Player 2 comes up and sees Player 1 just standing by the alley, or moving around the alley. Player 2 hits Player 1 with an axe until Player 1 is killed.

Player 1 syncs back up with the server and instantly dies, to what appears to be nothing.

 

But who knows..
