How do people respawn and go back to their bodies?

I see on YouTube videos where people die but then they respawn and run back to their bodies while their friends guard it.  Anytime I log out or a friend logs out when dead their body always disappears... just like any baddies I kill.  Is that like an earlier build that you could do that or is there a way to do it now?  Thanks.

As far as I know, everytime I kill a bandit it takes up to 1 ~ 2 minutes and the body disappears .-.

Bodies will stay on the server until either the player leaves the server OR the server restarts. I have on several occasions guarded my buddy's dead body while he made his way back from the coast.

Earlier build, respawn worked for about a day before game got hotfixed causing respawn to break and bodies dissapearing after death.

Cant respawn, have to log out and log back in again.

Not just me, all my friends too. Bodies go with the player.

I believe the body is some what connected to the player... As soon as a player disconnects after being shot dead the body will instantly disappear. But if the player respawns and stays on the server the body stays For a longer period of time not 100% sure how long exactly...

"Should" be until server restart though currently it disappears soon as the original player logs out. If I remember correctly, Rocket mentioned during a stream that it was a bug linked to the queue system they've been working on (which doesn't work either) but should be easy to fix.

 

There's also an issue with the Respawn system currently, as in sometimes it just doesn't work whatsoever when you press it, even multiple times and you NEED to disconnect/re-connect to start fresh. Had it happen twice out of 3 deaths so far, I just afked 5mins while connected to give whoever killed me time to loot, then relogged.

Because abusing a "glitch" that he would abuse but hasn't had the chance to, it makes other players a douche.

I died falling from a starcase and my buddy stripped my body and laid the loot on the ground before I respawned. I ran back from the coast and reclaimed every bit of it.
