DayZ Please. Can't Play a game ?

This has been happening for two fucking days, i'm kinda pissed off. My screen looks like the guys in this video, http://www.youtube.c...h?v=oVHBw4BkxAM

 

Any fix to this? I've resinstalled it. Aswell as reinstalled steam. Nothings come up, I've done all that click favorites then go back to Internet ect. Nothing works. I just wanna play! Help. Please. Anything.

Have you tried going to your filter? I noticed on default it's set on Max Ping: 100 

 

Make sure that's cleared.

I've got everything on my Filter on 0 at the moment, Is that fine ?

Still can't find any games. Not a single server pops up. Just a blank screen. Any ideas?

I'd suggest refreshing again and then leaving the server screen alone for a moment, perhaps like 2-3 minutes?

 

• Perhaps it could be a firewall issue as well if you have that enabled. If possible, you could try allowing the firewall program for DayZ.exe.
• Running DayZ as Administrator.

All firewalls are open, How do i run as Admin?

Go to your Steam Library, right click DayZ and then click "Create desktop shortcut"

 

Once that appears in your desktop, right click DayZ and then click "Run as administrator"

Maybe that's my problem. I dont have the option to run as admin, on other desktop applications i do but not on DayZ?

You could restart your Steam and have a friend of yours join a server in DayZ. If you do, open your friend's list in Steam and right click their name and click "Join Game"

Yes, i have previously done that but it's rediculus that i:

A) Must have a friend online.

B) Can't play by myself.

C) Cant find a single Server with no fix to the issue.

Best thing I'd do at this point is report it to the Bug Feedback that's found on the forums while I find solutions; I'll supply more information for you at this point in the best of my ability so you're able to play soon as possible :)

 

• Adjust your Max Ping to 0 or 1000.
• Forcing the firewall to provide a static port assignment to all ports.
• (This will be edited for more solutions)

What you could do is view a Network Monitor on your PC and see if there are incoming and outgoing packets for data push/pull with DayZ.

Then report that issue on the DayZ Bug Tracker with your Network Analysis logs, including PC Dump Files and DayZ RPT File.

It should say something relating to your network in your firewall settings, some of them might have, some of them might not.

If you use CTRL+ALT+Delete on your keyboard, you should manage to use Task Manager. From there, you'll see a "Network" tab. That's what he meant. :)

 

If you also open the Network and Sharing center, you're able to view it by clicking Local Area Connection.

Just a tip, once DayZ is running you can also "check" the box on the top tab "Processes with Network Activity" that corresponds to the name "DayZ". There it will filter only for ports in use by the program which should look like this

 

 

P.S; This isn't so much about just fixing your problem really, it's more about finding out whether certain 'instances' of DayZ are allowing, or even attempting a connection with the home ports for the server browser, or even data requests.

When using the server browser and hitting refresh, does the Receive (b/sec) change?
