First day, first time playin

Hellow there,

 

so I am kinda confused... I started this game first time. chose a server (hard to do, since 99% is VETERAN).

 

Now I am in some empty village, NOTHING to find and I have no idea what to do...

 

 

Please give me some general tips on how to proceed :(

Welcome to DayZ :)

 

Search everywhere, run around and get to know the map. There are plenty of guides on YouTube to help you get a grasp on the game.

Thanks, but I keep running around, cant find a city and there is no loot at all in the first city. I searched EVERY building. This is not really fun to be honest

 

Any tips?

Keep your head down, dont trust anyone.

 

If you treat everyone and everything like they are out to kill you, you will be fine :)

 

Dayz will make you paranoid :p

 

But it is lots of fun too :)

 

I love the dark gloomyness of Dayz myself :p

Wait for server restart. Loot only respawns after a restart. Stay away from zombies unless you have a splitting axe or firefighter axe. If you plan on wandering around use the roads as a guide they usually lead you to more towns. Trust no one!

Tbh some people get Dayz and others dont.

 

Think of it like a game where you care about your characters health, and want nice clothes to help you look good or be stealthy lol

You collect food and water so you live longer, You gain weapons to help you fight off threats.

 

Everything wants to kill you.   The more you gain the more you will care, and that leads to paranoia :) lol

Dayz doesnt hold your hand.  Just keep trying and you will get better and learn how things work :)
