Does anyone else experience random connection lag?

I have this issue where the dayz application randomly starts downloading files and lags my game. It skyrockets my ping and I cannot use anything in my inventory at this time. My direct chat works fine however and is not laggy. On other people's screens my character moves perfectly normal, but on my screen all characters and zombies are stuck in place. My character has not died since the last character wipe. Does anyone else have this issue?

Updating? If not you pc security may have been breached as this is the first  I have heard of it in 40 hours of play/other friends ~40 hours too. Malwarez or virus checked lately? Could be using the dayz.exe as a downloading slave.... or maybe its too late here and I have absolutely no idea what I'm going on about :-)

You could try disabling auto update in steam though it is most likely purely down to it being alpha of which optimizations of net code, server & client side as well as interiors & item models is what the current build is all about. So until then its what we all experience

The issue was corrupted equipment in my inventory from having such a old character. I dropped all my old equipment and it resolved the issue.
