Banditry, what part do you enjoy the most about it?

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't consider myself a full on extreme bandit such as holding people up and dragging them half way up the map just for the effect because frankly I'm not good enough to do that :P However i won't hesitate to kill to get where I'm going and survive. I give all players the fair chance to avoid me and the fact i have the bandit model makes that easier but the enjoyable part for me is those who think yeah lets engage him because its fun to! I enjoy the survivalist, I'll kill you to achieve my goals aspect because that's human nature in an apocalypse, To survive!

What's your favourite aspect of banditry, the tracking, the killing or the simple aspect of enjoying a good shootout!

I used to bandit in the mod, you know shoot someone geared up and take their gun, equipment, food and move on. In the standalone however I'm not a bandit anymore, I have only shot one guy that tried to attack me with an axe but other than that I don't kill people. It feels more rewarding to be able to talk your way out of a tough situation and if you try hard enough you won't have to bandit, all you need to do is ask someone if they can give you any food (because we all seem to lack that these days) and hopefully they will give you someting. And even if they don't chances are that after you've shot them they will just log out and their body will dissapear.

But these days I'm just a carebear walking around lol

Sniping from the top of a building, directing my friends to where a guy is so they can hopefully be close enough to loot him before he logs.

Much respect to anyone who doesn't insta-dc after they die, btw.

Those who just discconect annoy me, its a survivor on survivor world and if we won fair and square then at least wait a few before leaving right?!

I love making life difficult for a person. Even if they have just a Can of Beans, I won't hesitate to handcuff them and drag out a hold up for as long as possible. Most people would consider me an asshole or a prick but honestly, it's my way of survival. Kill or be killed.

The rage I receive from heroes/ noobs and the praise I receive from bandits after they've just been headshotted from 700m away with a DMR.

Hearing gunshots in the distance, hunting down the individual, finding him trapped in a barn with zombies and surprising him with a few shots. Love that rush you get.

That and running across bambies, gaining their trust, deceiving them, killing them and knowing there's a good chance they come crying to these forums about it.

Watching. I try to follow people....I tend to Hunt 99% only bandits in the MOD, as in SA I don't really bandit at all.

Watching, waiting.....for that perfect moment. A clear shot does not always mean that you should take it, it is finding the right moment. I love it...I love watching the bandit loot, move around, thinking He is the boss in town, and then I place one perfect shot, right in the back of His skull from 300m or so. That is satisfying the most I think...actually making the shot.

Another one.

While not a bandit move but more of a scavenger move today I had glitched the hell out of my bag and weapon trying to move shit around too close to a locked vehicle. I had nothing.

The server was pretty active and when I mission for a convoy popped up I jjust knew I would get my stuff back.

I found the convoy and moved in. As soon as I got close I could tell there were people around. I heard shooting for a good 5 minutes. I didn't move. No weapon, I couldn't. I just waited. I knew there was no way they would be able to take all the loot and weapons without them having a vehicle or at least a couple.

Luck was on my side. They left soon after night started to fall and I made my move. They left all the AI with all their gear. Score.

Huge backpack. Med supplies. Weapons and weapons and weapons. Off to trader city I go now.

Lol. The scavenger.
