Is the Lee Enfield meant to be that loud?

Recommended Posts

Is it a game balancing issue or is it really that loud IRL?

Its great at longer ranges, so it being loud kinda balances it and makes it less of a straight upgrade to the Winchester

btw the enfield has the highest damage of ALL guns, more than every sniper rifle.

when you get hit by a enfield its normally Instant kill.

from 12000 blood you will loose about 10000 and drop unconsius bleeding to death or die

Well i can tell you that the SA80 is loud enough to make your ears ring without ear defenders.

I have a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 (which is the one in the game), they are rather loud but then most rifles are as the bullets are going super-sonic. The .303 is typically loaded with a 174gr bullet that travels in the region of 2500fps. Now the Lee Enfield No5 (the Jungle carbine) is even louder due to the shorter barrel. Such a shame the game lacks the animation for cycling the bolt.

Though being as we running around some russian country side surely it should be mosin nagant's we stumble across? :) Oh well I'd rather have the Lee Enfield anyway :P

Actually lee enfield is a widespread sniper rifle with common ammo. It can do 500m kills, it can kill players in one shot.

I find It's noise reasonable taking in account how awesome it is

I've been to ranges and shot a L/E where a bunch of guys were also firing them and a mix of K98s and Rubins. They are loud. The game tones them down a lot really. Without ear protection your ears would be ringing. The noise of a L/E mad minute back in the trenches in WWI must have been something else.
