Where do you find guns?

Hey guys,

 

I just played a while and I've found amount of mods for guns etc. I've also seen some guys with guns, so is it random where those weapons spawn or are there any special places for it?

They always spawn in the same places and people go there and swap servers and clear the guns out completely meaning that if you dont server swap like everyone else you will lose big time. The places the guns are, airports military bases and also mosins can be found in towns and in cars so check these places as well but focus on getting to an airport or mb if you really want a gun with ammo.

Military bases is where the usual crew goes. You can find mainly M4s there. If you are smart search the cars (especially the blue ones). I found stockpiles of Mosins on the seats of car wrecks.

I had no problems finding guns without server-hopping. Just takes some time. Server-hopping kills the game for me, so I dont do it. People complain that there is not much to do but gearing up and then they even want to shorten that part :) I dont quite get it.

It's definitely not intended to happen and one should not do it. I've fond so many things without server hopping, I don't even get why people are doing it. Just head into the less populated areas of the map and you'll find supplies for days... ^^

There's so little content in the game at present that you can find everything legitimately within a few hours of gameplay. I understood (although didn't agree with) why people did it when there were nightvision goggles with a 0.1% drop rate in the mod but I find it a bit sad in the standalone to be honest...

Are Mosins rare? I found a crapload of M4's sofar, but not a single mosin.

Ive gone through untouched military bases and airfields and all I got was a few handguns and several M4's.

Even the hospital in elektra yielded a fully decked M4, but those damn rifles are something else.

There is a spawn spot for a gun on the top floor of the "school/city hall" type building (the grey one, found close to the hospital in Elektro and in other places around the map). I've found both M4s and Mosins there.

 

M4s always spawn in great numbers in the barracks and various buildings at airfields and army bases. Server hoppers clear them out, but you can usually find one or two there regardless. Just don't stick around, someone WILL spawn behind you and shoot you in the back if you do.
