Silencer working?

Haven't had a friend log on since I found a silencer to test it.

 

Does anyone know if the silencer works in sound reduction outside your own client? As it stands right now to the person shooting the gun the noise is no different and want to know if it's "silenced" for 3rd party people.

its not working but i like to be different u know, i like the feel that i have when i have a silencer on my m4

The current M4 sound is what I imagine the 'silenced'  version would sound like.

I don't even think the sound effect changes when you have a can on your rifle currently.

I don't know really. I killed a guy inside of the firestation at NWAF. My friend at the control tower didn't hear the shots.

The sound doesn't work, however it seems to attract less zed's when equipped.
