badman85@gmail.com 14 Posted December 29, 2013 stagnant water ( pond or lake water ) is considered unclean & to be avoided unless fresh runoff from snow pack .streams & rivers ( or moving water ) is much safer , but should still be filtered or cleaned as the probability that something has died or defecated further upstream is considerable , contaminating the water .
