Massive database or hive lag but great server ping?

Is there any way to fix this? I have great ping to the servers I hop on BUT I can't pick up, switch items, or otherwise manipulate anything in the server. I do however seem to take zombie damage and lose blood.

Just a bad database is all. Happens to all of us if I'm not mistaken, which I'm guessing is a part of it the game being an alpha.

Wait for a while. You can't interact with items after you've just logged in.

If this problem occurs at any moment - what's your game version? Maybe you must download update or get out from beta.

Yes this is a bug that is happening to everyone currently. I do know that earlier today there was a tweet by hicks saying that they were doing database maintenance to fix some of these problems. I don't know if they are finished with the maintenance however. Hopefully the database lag will be fixed after they are finished.
