An interesting idea for a later time

Recommended Posts

Disclaimer: I realize the game is in alpher. I only say this as I believe it would be a cool addition much further down the line.

I think once the reputation type system is implemented it would be cool for zombies to be more willing to attack bandits at a longer distance. To keep this real perhaps when you are killing players and looting them you get your hands bloody which in turn attracts more zombies. Just an idea that I thought would be cool.

Please don't make abstract solutions to bandits.

I would think it silly to see several zombies blow past me, to attack someone much further away hiding in a bush.

And how would we differentiate between defensive and offensive killing (or kos) ?

To be honest, it's a neat idea, though I think once zombies respond properly to sounds and gun shots are proper ranges(and more zombies/respawns etc), zombies will swarm towards combat zones, regardless of banditry or otherwise.

And I think it could take a step towards a more realistic system, if you bleed, your clothes become soaked in blood(at least where the wound was), and you have to find water to wash off the blood, otherwise you will start attracting nearby zombies, rocket did mention the zombies being more animalistic rather then your traditional "dead" zombies, which I imagine would heighten their sense of smell. Granted this does not have anything to do with bandits, other then people being bandits are probably more likely to be in combat often, and as such more likely going to be bleeding often.

I dunno, could lead to cool things.

Not so much as a solution to bandits, but maybe it makes me think twice before killing a player if I notice multiple zombies around him. I see the point with having zombies blow past you to get a bandit. Just a idea I had that I thought was kind of cool.

Initially I thought its was a another arbitrary methods to stop KOS, but this would work for hunting or your own wounds as well.

i.e. you kill a dear the carcass and your now blood soaked clothes would attract them via the obvious smell.

Also if you get hurt, say you are shot or if they implement tools with low durability breaking an potentially causing injuries, you would have an open wound and would need to clean and cover it asap.

Currently there are a tone of clothing items, perhaps your clothes could become bloodied, so having spare items around would be very helpful. Alternately washing clothes, would clean of blood but perhaps contaminate water sources, instead of water sources spawning with diseases the devs could have it so that diseases are introduced by other players, zombies or animals only. That way if you have control over a clean water source as a group you keep tabs on it and protect it knowing it should remain safe.

Overall great Idea to have bloodied clothes or wounds increase zombie threat.

I agree. Not just for bandits, but for all blood on clothing.

zombies eat brains. doesnt matter if you are a bandit or not. having them focus people out who enjoy pvp is stupid
