Fall demage

Recommended Posts

I think this fall demage gizmo is very anoying. Few times i've got good equipment such as weapons and ammo and then I just jumped from 4 meter height, I died. Think about it. That wouldn't kill anybody! I found this article on Wikipedia (for some statistic statements): "Overall, the height at which 50% of children die from a fall is between four and five storey heights (around 40 to 50 feet or 12 to 15 metres) above the ground."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falling_(accident) ). In DayZ you're not a child, you should stand more. I know it's only a suggestion. But improving it will help many people a lot.

The way physics works in DayZ/ArmA though, and the lack of animation without ragdoll, means that falling 30 feet without dying just looks silly. Just saying.

Kids are "softer" than adults. That's why they don't die falling from big heights.

It's actually true. Our bone®s get harder as we grow older. The harder they are, the easier they break. Especially with a lot of heavy gear on your back.
