What if perhaps we could have characters and information tied to profiles rather than CD-keys. I understand that this would probably put more strain in the servers, but it would be much more convenient for people, especially for people who play in groups. If certain members of the group aren't on, you have to risk going on without them to play some DayZ.

If there was an account-based system, you could play with your group on a main account and by yourself on your other account. It would be much more convenient for people who travel in groups, and whose friends aren't always on to play with them.
