Grunting and groaning survivor after being hit by zombie?

Hi, this seems to happen after being hit by a zombie. Even though I bandage myself, and will often eat food  to regenerate health/blood, my survivor continues to do this and will eventually die.

Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug that I should report?

It means you are injured. Try recovering yourself by resting. You could also use a morphine to ease the pain.
