Hello survivors,

 

some of you may remember me from the DayZ Mod New Player forum, where I used to post video tutorials for new players.

 

I played the DayZ mod for over a year and wanted to share what I've learned with those who were new to the game. Now that Standalone is out I've started a new series dedicated to SA only.

 

In the following 5 min video I will show you how to turn zombies from a lethal threat into a minor inconvenience. Enjoy!

You don't seem to be very good at aiming for their heads... They drop fast if you do.

It's difficult to aim for the head when you're running in a circle. :) But at least that way the zed can't hit you. Also the weapon makes a big difference. I tried it with a crowbar and a pipe wrench off camera and scored a good few hits to the head. It still took a while to take them down. The server difficulty (recruit, regular, veteran) might make a difference, too.
