I would like to see less lighting used in buildings. .

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I've attached a screenshot that displays one example of interior lighting that's much brighter than the current daytime cycle. This isn't an issue with all of the interact-able buildings in Chernarus, but most of them. The idea of darker, shadowy interiors, maybe even to the point of needing a flashlight indoors if there is no form of exterior light coming through; would definitely amp up the immersion and add an interesting approach to looting buildings. I realize this probably falls into the actual Arma engine needing to be modified which may not be possible at this point in time. Just a thought for the future. Keep up the great work team, I'm looking forward to your future releases!

Sounds good to me. (Appropriately) darker and scarier. More reason to have a flashlight during daytime play.

Your shadow setting is turned off.

There aren't really any dark buildings in the game because they all have windows. I think some of the smaller garages are windowless but making them dark wouldn't effect gameplay at all because they're too small.

It is odd that grocery stores, hotel lobbys and hospitals are all lit up at night though.

Two uploads with max shadows to maintain thread integrity.

Trying the game on max settings with brightness and gamma turned fairly low produces a realistic effect. Hopefully with time we can all run the game on max and experience decent frame rates. Having a universal lighting that can't be altered would be nice too, but that's a totally different subject.
