Is there some way to spawn at a same place with friend?

Is there some way to freshspawn with your friend at a same place. I want to play with my friend, but it would be bloody lame if we spawn at opposite side of the map. It would take a lot of time and attempts to get to each other. 

I'm sure dev's will make this possible later, but may be we can figure out some kind of trick now.

There is nothing like this. No system, no bugs, etc.

 

Ideally they keep it this way. Selecting spawns just resulted in body diving, and suicide runs, etc.

 

 

You'll just have to loot your way to your friend.

Not really, you could always kill yourself over and over until you spawn within the desired distance or town with your friend though.

I spent 2 hours trying to meet up with my friend. I was at the northeast of the map and I was running North thinking he was north of me running south. Turns out he was at the military base at the southwest corner of the map. we both went kitty-corner past the newb graveyard and met in the middle.

I'm not saying choose respawn. I think it should be able to spawn together with a friend but still at a random location. May be some kind of friending should be added to client.

And to Steak and Potatoes.

I thought of spawning again and again until you spawn close enough, but it is lame and can took even more time.

I was thinking of this and i thought it surely can not be that hard that when you go to join game on a friend it spawns you to the closest spawn point near them, that would be both fair and would achieve the goal.

I think this mechanic is going to have to be implemented, somehow, in order for me to enjoy the game long-term. I don't want to run for twenty minutes to meet up with my friend, if we only have thirty minutes to play. Many of us will opt for a different game, in that case.

Friend spawning would be awesome i don't think we will ever get it as someone will cry "that's unfair they have an advantage" or "that's not realistic" but dayz ain't real life and sometimes i want to play with my friends not have our new spawns run 20 minutes through heavy PvP zones with nothing but our under tees on our backs and rags in our pockets (even though the journey is half the fun) just to meet up or to die again and have to work out where we are again plus i don't want to look at the online map but to find where my friends and i are it encourages cheating and if friends can spawn together you don't need the online map to find each other!

No. That kind of mechanic doesn't belong in DayZ. It's better that you spent that 20 minutes running to your friend and then make sure that you stay alive. Gives some extra incentive to keep alert :P
