Headtracking

Recommended Posts

Anybody using TrackIR / FreeTrack / FTNIR with standalone? Notice the option seems to still be there as in all the ARMA series games but am slightly concerned VAC might have an issue with it? Used headtracking with FT and FTNIR with A2 and A3 with no issues for ages but was just wondering.

Why would VAC have an issue with it?

I just ordered a TrackIR with some cash I got from Christmas. It looks like all the configs for it still exist in SA so I would set it up and see what happens.

It certainly shouldn't was just an inquiry. I haven't played A3 multi-player (my copy is on steam) and my A2 install and subsequently all DayZ content was non-steam and protected by battle-eye which has no problem with any HT software. Just wanted to see if anybody had had any issues with HT and VAC.

Yeah I use TrackIR mate, works just as well as it does in the Arma series, although the zoom function does not work.. Well maybe it does but I haven't got it working yet :)

Never had a problem with VAC etc, although it isn't protected by VAC yet I don't think.

Magic thanks MarKeR just gave it a go myself and all seems good, no roll axis either though sadly, would be nice if roll could be bound to lean as it is in A3. Can't see VAC being an issue but thought it would be safer to ask first lol.

I find it rolls ever so slightly, will have a look in the cfg file tomorrow and see if I can enhance it.
