That was pretty fantastic that they helped you instead of killed you. I have had more problems with finding zero food and water (bottles, soda, or canteens) due to servers seeming to be picked clean. I have learned that soon as I spawn I run as fast as I can to the nearest body of fresh water..get down in first person and drink till I am full. Then I go off and look for food, and an axe.

I've helped people but as soon as I have given them my canteen, they've unloaded their whole clip directly into my back
