If you head into Arma II weapons range or the editor you can set up targets at different distances. Get some idea of the range and zeroing.

Or look up the DayZ wiki got loads of information.

Hi,

one of the best ways to practice and test is to go into the editor.

1. Press F1 and double click anywhere on the map. Press OK. Now you have a player placed.

2. Double-click near the player and choose "Empty" in the drop-down menu. From here, select Ammo or Vehicles depending on what you want to test. Choose different ammo and weapons boxes and place them near your player.

3. Press Preview and go look through the boxes. Shoot away!

Or just go to the DayZ Wiki, find your weapon of choice and look at the stats that it has..
