[1.7.1.5] Entering a boat deletes inventory

Recommended Posts

Date/Time: 6/21/2012 22:00 GMT-5

What happened: My bud and I discovered a boat on the docks of Berezino. We got in and drove it North where we found another boat. We got out of the previous one and into the new one with more fuel and continued North. We eventually found another boat and parked on the beach to investigate.

Upon leaving the boat, I noticed not only were our backpacks missing from our bodies completely, but also our primary weapons and any items immediately in our primary inventory. All inventory was wiped except secondary weapon and its ammo and bandages.

Where you were: Along the coast North of Berezino

What you were doing: Being on a boat

*Current installed version: 1.7.1.5

*Server(s) you were on: Atlanta 40 I think

*Your system specs: AMD Phenom 2 Quad @ 3.5 Ghz, ATI 6950 @ 6970 specs, 6 gigs ddr3 ram

*Timeline of events before/after error: Approaching Berezino from the North. bro sports a boat in his scope. We head to boat, get in. When we leave boats, we realize were missing gear and log out to take a break, since we were both disappointed. Not the end of the world though.

This is an error with there being a split/second of swimming before you enter because your boat is in deep water. Try parking your boat on more solid ground and make sure you always use the 'get out' option, never 'eject'.

PS: Small boats suck for transportation, find a PBX... Which can go 70km/h and basically un-beach itself.

Like I said, it was my friend and I's first vehicle find and it was a little off the shore. We were really excited and just jumped in. We immediately realized it was slow as piss, but we were excited anyway.

Good to know for the future though. Still a pretty nasty bug that should be looked at though.

Thanks for the reply.
