GOD™ 2795 Posted December 23, 2013 Gas canister. Portable stove. Cooking pot. Mix all that together.
Frostbyte_ 44 Posted December 23, 2013 Not yet implemented i think. If it is however, i´d think you´d need either fire, or gas cooker, and then use the pot on it.

atc86 46 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Combine the gas can and the stove then drop it on the floor. Right click the stove and select turn on drop the pot on the floor in the tab menu change the gas stove to + and add the pot Change the pot to + and add rice Let it boil for some time then change the pot to - and remove the cooked rice Not sure if you can actually cook the rice yet but we managed to do the rest of the process so that should be the way to cook it :) Edited December 23, 2013 by -RGG-Allan

MCRoadkill 7 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) You need water to boil rice or else you get rice crispies i've tried as well, but I did not succeed. So just drop the stove on the ground out of inv. or is it an action? Because I wanted to eat cooked rice. So there i was with a bag of rice, a bottle of water, portable stove, a cooking pot and a canister of gas. portable stove+gas canister=a set I can't place the stove on the ground or can put the cooking pot on the stove as a set.could not fill the cooking pot with water and could not fill the pot with rice. So then I started to chew the raw rice and hoped for the best I didn't lose any teeth :P Edited December 23, 2013 by MCRoadkill
desryachri 95 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) There are 2 types of gas from what I have seen? Small for light big for cooking? Not sure I tried but my pot was damaged Edited December 23, 2013 by Desryachri

Not sure I tried but my pot was damaged I´ve managed to attach atelast medium and large canisters to a cooker, so i think they´re just different amounts of gas really. Papanowel (DayZ) 34 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Rocket said it's half done: Cooking & Gathering Resources Target Delivery: Early 2014 This is a system that was not completed prior to the alpha launch so is half-done. Additional work will be done and pushed when we can. This will include gas cookers (already ingame) and the creation of fireplaces. We will be allowing players to gather resources from the world, such as firewood, stones, etc... This will then be utilized by the existing crafting system.http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/156129-confirmed-upcoming-features-for-dayz/ Edited December 23, 2013 by Papanowel
MCRoadkill 7 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Isn't it just a small and big one that only let's you use it longer?Does it have a different purpose? Yeah, creating fire places.I had wood, matches and an axe.I imagened you apply the axe to the wood logs to create smaller ones, maybe some accelant like alcohol and match, start a fire and then add a block of wood. But then would you be able to cook on it? You would need a grill over the fire to place a cooking pot on it or else it would just be floating. Edited December 23, 2013 by MCRoadkill
desryachri 95 Posted December 23, 2013 Ahh yea probably means howmuch gas is inside them, I hope they bring out food value tables to see if cooking the rice is worth it.++ I hope to see cooking pots on camp fires
