any1 know how long bodies/dropped loot remain on servers?

I had to drop some stuff to make room for handgun and loot.

 

Anyone have an idea of how long my dropped sodas and stuff stayed there for someone else to find?

 

Has it changed from the mod? Will it be longer in the future?

 

It would be so awesome to randomly find dropped items and random dead bodies partially looted.

The items will remain there until one of these two conditions occur.

 

1 They are not looted by another player.

 

2 The server does not restart.

 

So to answer the question accurately you can say aslong as no one finds your items they are safe until the server restarts.

As I recall in DayZ mod items droped by you stayed in place as long as you not moved more then 200 meters from them. Droped items would stay untill restart even if you logged out, but you had to log out within 200 meters from dropped items.

 

In standalone I think it is similar.
