Please Fix Primary Fire

Recommended Posts

Hey, I know most of you are unaware of this problem and that's because most of you fire by left-clicking. But I'm left-handed so I'm right-clicking to fire.

The problem is that in ArmA 2 all of the functions of primary fire do not transfer to the new keybind if you change it. I can shoot by right-clicking for sure, but I can't fire in full-auto mode. I also can't fire Lee Enfields. I've picked up many Lee Enfields and click the fire button only to have NOTHING happen.

Give it a try. Switch primary fire to right-click and try firing a weapon in full-auto and reply if you experience the same problem. I've googled this issue and others have it; it just doesn't work.

This isn't just a Day Z problem, it's an ArmA 2 problem (I tried this in boot camp and I get the same issue). But I'm hoping Rocket & Friends :P can fix this bug on the Day Z side of the game since Bohemia Interactive has failed to fix it on the main game.

This is where you look back at your post and close the tab without submitting the thread.

Problems relating to ArmA 2 should be submitted to the ArmA 2 forums, not DayZ.

Solution : learn to play with your right hand. Or click the left mouse button with your left hand, I just tried it and it may take getting used too, but it should work.

Suggesting a left handed person to do something right handed isn't helpful.

grim. - not sure if it will help, but in Windows there is a setting that actually swaps the mouse-buttons, maybe try that.

Devices & Printers -> Mouse properties -> Buttons -> Switch Primary and Secondary buttons.
