Arma 2: Army of the CZECH Republic = New Maps

Recommended Posts

Rocket, Not sure of to post here. Some others have probably already noticed too but... am I correct we are getting two new maps.

PCGAMER: Verdant Environments – Explore the two new summer-season terrains: Bystrica and Bukovina

Will we be able to Dayz it up on these as well XD. Imagine exploring two near areas just as big as Chenarus TWICE!

In all likeliness? No - Chernarus stays until Rocket has decided on the engine (ARMA2 or 3) and whether BIS decides to make it an official stand alone title. Once those things are settled new (original) map(s) will appear.

The alpha is expensive enough as it is for random newcomers, and a new map won't help development in the least.

Well I assume the only things he would have to switch are the 2 DAYZ files we download. I assume those are the ones that associate map specific triggers and locations. The other files are based around game mechanics and should be copy past to new map. I don't see how it wouldn't hurt to throw it on a couple new maps for fun. How is the alpha expensive? You could buy the new expansion AND the CO for 45, less than most new games at 60 these days. Who said newcomers had to play it anyways XD.

If DayZ isn't playable on the islands we already have, why would it be playable on the two new ones?

You're still missing the point of the alpha, Pinin - the point of Chernarus is to test game mechanics. Not to act as a permanent map.
