We've all been there: you're shot during a firefight, and you desperately need a bandage or a transfusion, but your friend has no idea what to do, much less how to do it.

 

Until now. This video demonstrates a number of important medical procedures in the DayZ SA. Enjoy!

Is the defibrillator mechanic actually working? We tried it on ourselves but it didn't have any effect.

And a pro tip regarding bloodbags: get a friend and take donation of your own blood. Attach the iv starter kit to the bag and sanitize it. Put the completed blood bag back into a med kit in your OWN inventory, and do the same for your friend. It shouldn't take too long to re gen the lost blood if you eat and drink, and this way you both have a pre - made, sanitized and prepped bloodbag that you know 100% will work. If you run into trouble, open your friends medical kit and recover his bag for use.

Just make sure you leave your own blood inside your medical kit to avoid confusion.
