Cannibalism?

Recommended Posts

Would be a good idea if it had a downside.

Maybe develop an addiction, and if you don't eat human flesh every so often you get sick.

Eating human flesh raw makes you sick

Eating most flesh rate makes you sick.

Human flesh does not give people the shakes or any diseases. Eating the brain does however.

there is no sickness associated with eating human flesh this only happens if you eat the human brain.

That is just complete bull****. Where the hell did you get that from? The human brain is just meat like the rest of your body...

That's a decent idea :3

Cannibalism is a great idea.

You need to have a punishment in place for going that route to satisfy your hunger though.

Treat it like a sickness. Once you consume human flesh you now become "sick", and your hunger decreases at a higher rate than normal. The only way to reach satisfied hunger and above is to eat more flesh, but the more you eat, the "sicker" you become, increasing in levels of sickness which increases your hunger depletion rate, with a cap on it of course so it maxes out at a high, but not impossible to sustain (just tough)hunger depletion rate.

Definitely an interesting mechanic with lots of possibilities on how to implement

There are some serious implications from eating humans, just look up kuru for instance.

Kuru is an incurable degenerative neurological disorder endemic to tribal regions of Papua New Guinea. It is a type of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy, caused by a prion found in humans.[1] The term "kuru" derives from the Foreword "kuria/guria" ("to shake"),[2] a reference to the body tremors that are a classic symptom of the disease; it is also known among the Fore as the laughing sickness due to the pathologic bursts of laughter people would display when afflicted with the disease. It is now widely accepted that Kuru was transmitted among members of the Fore tribe of Papua New Guinea via cannibalism.

Not sure if it is saying that the disease is caused by eating human, or it was just spread in this case because they ate people who were infected with it. . . .

(and now I've just googled "does eating human flesh make you sick"  my NSA profile must be looking good. . .
