Guns in Residential Areas

G'day guys,

After playing about 10 hours of SA, i have not found any guns in Residential/Farm loot spawns. Only in the military spawns have i had any luck in procuring firearms. In the common residential spawns, axes and baseball bats seem fairly commonplace. So, my question is has anyone found guns of any type in residential/farm loot spawns?

I have found a couple of Moison Nagants in residential spawns, also found on in a broken down car

I find shotgun shells all the time which leads me to believe shotguns will spawn fairly frequent in residential/ farm lands. I think we will see more gun spawns in civilian locations later on. Most likely shotguns and maybe a few types of rifles but expect that it will be hunting style weapons like bolt action rifles and assorted shotguns.

I've found a mosin once or twice, but I'm sure there will be more once more weapons(civilian) are added.  There are only 4 guns in the game right now(if the .357 is actually spawning) so that's why you aren't seeing many.

Good points, most civilian houses around the world (even if the country they live in permits firearm ownership) would only have 9mm or at most .45 calibre pistols for home defense or .22 rifles for fun/target shooting. However, it is good to know that firearms spawn even if rarely in the houses! ;)

Mosin spawns only in residental areas.. Lot's of .357 ammo there too, so gun itself will spawn there too.

I think rural houses need the best chances of guns.

Home defence firearms are a bit less common outside the USA, guns for hunting purposes are another story though.
