Webbing System for Backpacks

Recommended Posts

Just a little bugbear that I would like to see rectified in the future patches.

From experience of travelling, I would really love to see some sort of webbing system added for carrying items outside of your backpack. Especially the "insert clour" back packs. Most trabelling backpacks come with some sort of bungee system for stowing items outside of the backpack. It is a similar thing to people wanting the holster to be added to the thigh, therefore not using up that essential chest storage space.

With food and drink being, currently, extremely essential items to stave off death from dehydration/starvation, actual bag space is prime real estate. I just think it would be nice to be able to keep things like portable gas lamps, stoves, and cooking pots to be able to be stored outside of bags, maybe just having an extra 4 slot area for stowing a first aid kit bag. It could be made quite characterful and need a bit of deliberation to add extra volume to your characters travel. You can gain some extra slots by sacrificing stealth (as having items such as gas lamps, cookers, and pots on the outside of your back would made trying to be stealthy quite miserable with them clanging around like cow bells.

On a side note, I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but being able to tell how much gas, roughly, is left in a gas cannister.

Just wondered if anyone else had thoughts along these lines?
