Item durability affecting accuracy ?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone got around to some testing regarding this ?

I have a Mosin with a damaged bipod and a worn long range scope, and when I fire at around 400 meters, my bullets sway to the left. Is this caused by the damaged items, a damaged gun, wind, or do all weapons inheretely have certain spread, making them inaccurate at certain ranges ?

A Mosin should be able to get consistently accurate shots at around 500-600 meters.

I can't find the thread, but someone did some code digging. The sway in SA is like .1 .. where as arma 2 it is something like .0057

I think it's in the coding. That being said I have a pristine long range scope at the moment, and it does sway, but i have also gotten 700/800 meter kills with it. So I think there's a chance it'll sway/be inaccurate regardless of your aiming/gear.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. I would do more testing at different ranges but I dont want to eat through all of my ammo.
