Took cover in between two shipping containers after building up my character for 5 hours, minimized game for 10 seconds to look at map and died during the time it was minimized. I won't do that again lol.

If you play DayZ don't do anything else. You should even stop breathing - it could distract you!

 

On a serious note: This happened to me several times aswell. For hours I don't see a player, the second I'm distracted or tabbed out they come out of their holes and start rambo'ing me over.....

Woops, I learnt that early on in the mod then I used my ipad there after luckily now after playing for so long takes me a few minutes of running around befor I work out exactly where I am :)

I had a medic built up too, had everything I needed to survive including a medkit and around 6 rags, with a huge backpack full of a bunch of other stuff too.
